My decade-plus of experience in the property industry, specialising in Desa ParkCity, presented me with a front-row-seat to acquiring a unit in South Brooks.

Desa ParkCity is definitely a township that is suitable for long-term stay, especially for families with kids and pets, as it features lush greeneries, ample walkways and pet-friendly amenities. Other factors such as safety, walking distance to comprehensive amenities including The Waterfront, Plaza Arkadia, ParkCity Medical Centre, International School @ ParkCity, The Central Park and The ParkCity Club, make it an ideal development for those who don’t drive or don’t wish to drive unnecessarily. The township’s safe, convenient and conducive environment for building families have been attracting discerning homeowners.

Furthermore, the density of each neighbourhood in Desa ParkCity is generally lower than other neighbourhoods. The developer has done a good job in protecting its investors’ interests as it does not clear unsold units at discount rates, which in turn does not jeopardise the market rate. For example, due to the limited supply of listings in Desa ParkCity, our company’s transacted sales during 2020-2021 increased by 15% compared to pre-Covid-19 days.

For investors, the township also presents a sound investment as its offerings remain highly sought- after. Owners of quality properties in Desa ParkCity commonly have strong holding power and therefore, are not compelled to sell their properties below the market rate.

Plus, Desa ParkCity is unique in that it’s the only township development with complete amenities and multiple parks bearing a Kuala Lumpur address, whereas other similar township developments are located outside of KL. And as a rule, a KL address is more appealing to foreign investors as the conditions for sale and purchase are more liberal compared to other states.

Last but not least, there is only one master developer in Desa ParkCity, ensuring that the overall township planning is coherent with each development having its own unique features and designs, therefore giving homeowners a truly different living experience
versus other developments in the market.

Owners of quality properties in Desa ParkCity commonly have strong holding power and therefore, are not compelled to sell their properties below the standard market rate.

I love to jog. And my association with Desa ParkCity began when I visited the township expressly to jog in Central Park, an experience which was enhanced by the beautiful setting that framed the jogging route. Furthermore, the alluring landscape within the township combined with its safe environment made a lasting impression on me, such that I was determined to reside in Desa ParkCity.

So, when South Brooks was launched, I quickly seized the opportunity to purchase a unit. I received my precious set of keys in October 2021 and immediately set about moving into my new home. The view from my unit is soothing and the serenity of the surroundings has me longing to come home so that I can unwind after a long day at work.

Another big plus is that everything is within easy reach — the conveniences within the township have saved me a lot of hassle from having to drive out to get groceries or dine out.

And as the cherry on the cake, unlike my previous residence, there is such a high demand on the secondary market for units in South Brooks. The capital appreciation in Desa ParkCity is much higher compared to other places.
