Circular Landscaping

Our softscape nursery is one upshot of our sustainable township planning. Introduced in 2014, Desa ParkCity’s softscape nursery nurtured hundreds of shrubs during the construction of the township. We strived to preserve as much local vegetation as we could, with each viable plant relocated to and transplanted at the various parks throughout the township. Once the original site was ready, the trees were then either re-transplanted back or integrated as part of the parkland greenery.

With more than 20% of Desa ParkCity’s land dedicated to parks and vegetation, there is an abundance of dried leaves and branches to be swept away daily. Instead of disposing these, the waste materials are collected for composting. The use of domestic-made compost is cost effective, safe and sustainable.

The success of our softscaping innovations has become the benchmark of sustainable urban landscape planning that attracted local authorities to Desa ParkCity for case studies.
